Mark É. Czeisler

Mark É. Czeisler, PhD, is a medical student in the Francis Weld Peabody Society at Harvard Medical School. He is also a research fellow at the School of Psychological Sciences in the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences at Monash University and Honorary Research Fellow at the Institute for Breathing and Sleep (IBAS) at Austin Health. He was a 2020-2021 Fulbright Postgraduate Scholar supported by the Australian-American Fulbright Commission and funded by The Kinghorn Foundation. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Neurobiology with a minor in Global Health and Health Policy from Harvard College.

Shantha M.W. Rajaratnam

Shantha M.W. Rajaratnam, LLB, PhD, is Deputy Head of the School of Psychological Sciences, and Deputy Director of the Turner Institute for Brain and Mental Health at Monash University. He is also the Director of Engagement and Translation for the Turner Institute. He is a psychologist with academic appointments at the Institute for Breathing and Sleep (IBAS) at Austin Health, Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School, and is also Chair of the Monash Sleep Network, which combines scientific and clinical expertise in sleep research within Monash University and its affiliated hospitals. He is a Board Member of the Sleep Health Foundation.

Charles A. Czeisler

Charles A. Czeisler, PhD, MD, FRCP, is the Frank Baldino Jr, PhD, Professor of Sleep Medicine, Professor of Medicine and Director of the Division of Sleep Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Chief of the Division of Sleep and Circadian Disorders in the Departments of Medicine and Neurology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. He is an Affiliate Faculty Member in the Neuroscience Program at Harvard Medical School in the Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology at Harvard University. He is also an elected member of the US National Academy of Medicine.

Mark E. Howard, MBBS, PhD, is the Director of the Victorian Respiratory Support Service at Austin Health. He is a specialist physician in respiratory and sleep medicine with interests in long-term ventilation of patients with respiratory failure and the impact of sleep disorders on driving and occupational health and safety. He is on the Board of Directors of the Institute for Breathing and Sleep (IBAS) and Clinical Associate Professor at The University of Melbourne, Adjunct Associate Professor at Monash University, and IBAS Lead in the Australian Sleep and Alertness Consortium.
